Rogers doesn't get it

I’ve recently came to the realization that my 3 year contract with Rogers (Canadian Wireless company) has come to an end. Now I can finally get an Iphone! However my happiness lasted about 10 seconds when I realized the lack of options for us Canadian Iphone lovers. Were getting ripped off big time people. Check out the below chart, courtesy of Andy Peatling.

The costs are based on Iphone 3G in 2008, so there are some adjustments for the 3GS, but it remains roughly the same – obscene prices. I mean only 400 mb data? THAT is the WHOLE POINT OF GETTING THE IPHONE – to use the amazing online apps!!! Feel like banging my head in mirth.

I also a big fan of shoddy service. Why didn’t they inform me my contract was over back in July of this year? Why should they I suppose. They can do whatever they want in Canada. Rogers has exclusive rights for the Iphone and thus have been maximizing revenues off Canadians the past 2 years. However, now there is upcoming competition with Telus and Bell getting rights to sell the Iphone.

What Rogers doesn’t get is users are less likely to switch if the service is great and if the prices are reasonable. With economy tanking they could have easily secured there market share by not charging such high prices and lack of service. Too late now Rog. As soon as Bell and Telus or any future competitor comes out with a better plan – sayonara.

Unexpectedly Awesome - BBC

Sometimes it’s worth being even just a little bit awesome. We don’t need to change the world, maybe just having a little bit of public fun is enough. The usually conservative BBC did that for me today when I realised the following: The BBC video player has a volume which goes to 11.

It’s what I call unexpectedly awesome. I was delighted. So much that I’ve linked here to little video of Warren Buffett being interviewed. Upon which you can learn something and also pump the volume up to 11.

Startups – do something a little bit awesome.

Keep it Simple, Stupid

What is it about the human race that while we all apparently prefer ‘a simple life’ we delight in adding layers of complexity to everything?

Much to nobody’s surprise, I imagine, a recent McKinsey article, “Consumer Electronics Gets Back to Basics” showed that something like 2/3rds of consumers valued simplicity and price over a more comprehensive set of features. And yet, product after product is designed to have more features than its predecessor – generally at an incrementally higher price or, at best, the same price.

Just look at today’s ‘bloatware’ as an example. Remember the days when Bill Gates declared that “640KB ought to be enough for anybody” referring to the, then, new PC’s maximum memory capacity? Nowadays, you’re lucky to get away with less than three thousand times that much (2GB)! And yet, how many of us use more than 10% of the features available in today’s ‘productivity suites?’ I don’t, and many consider me a ‘power user.’

Oh, and don’t believe that the complexity is simply as a result of more capacity – people have been calling for simpler PCs for decades. In a Newsweek interview back in 1995, Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison said that the PC was too complicated and difficult to use then, predicting the PC would soon be replaced by simpler desktop devices – the ‘network computer,’ a no-frills computer/terminal that performs basic chores easily and simply and sells for less than $500. Perhaps Oracle’s recent purchase of Sun Microsystems will enable him to move us all in that direction some 15 years later: Sun already sells this type of device – they call it a Sun Ray.

The big surprise for many vendors last year was the Netbook. Initiated by Asus, this basic notebook PC really set the proverbial cat among the pigeons. The form factor was first tried in the mid 90s with a notable lack of success (it was called the sub-notebook in those days), so there was a healthy dose of scepticism when it was announced last year. Acer, as the first major multinational vendor to see the opportunity, quickly produced its own line of netbooks and gained enormous market-share as a result: seeing a significant increase in unit sales last year, just as the downturn was biting most companies. Here was a classic case of people wanting simplicity – what a pity, then, that the software was not also available in ‘Lite’ versions, meaning that many early adopters of netbooks ended up returning to the larger, more powerful machines that could handle the software workload.

But it’s not just in PCs that simplicity is the watchword. A couple of years ago a start-up company, Pure Digital Technologies, introduced a simple, one-button solid state video camera that runs on a couple of AA batteries. This device, the Flip, quickly grabbed 14% of the US video camera market surpassing all but the long-time market leader in sales. It’s a wonderful little camera and perfect for recording those ‘moments’ of life – I know, I got one soon after launch and swear by it. Interesting, then, that Cisco acquired the company a few months ago – is simplicity to be Cisco’s driver now?

This desire for simplicity is evident in many other areas of life, too – look at how people are embracing simpler airline and hotel offerings: companies offering easy-to-use services that do what’s needed at a reasonable price. The same goes for other products, like the success of Tide Basic laundry detergent.
And here’s the key – to succeed, products and services must be well-made, practical, offer the set of basic features that people need (read: market research is critical) and be seen as offering great value. Properly done, this can be achieved at increased margins to the over-featured products we’ve become used to, so increasing shareholder satisfaction along with customer satisfaction.

As the saying goes, “Keep it Simple, Stupid.”

Isn’t this what we all want?

What Is AdzZoo?

Are you a small business owner? Have you been racking your brain trying to find an affordable and effective way to reach local consumers? Have you noticed that the old tried and true methods aren’t working any more? Radio, TV, newspaper, and yellow pages are all seeing smaller and smaller audiences due to one thing – the internet.

Since Google came along, people have drastically changed the way they search for products and services. Did you know that around 65% of people will search for content related to what they’re purchasing online before they do their purchasing locally. If you think about that for a minute, that means that if you’re a local merchant, you have a great chance at capturing that business. The majority of consumers still want to buy in their local market, they just want to make sure they’re not over paying when they decide to visit your store.

The next step for you as a business owner is to somehow be seen on the first page when someone does their search on Google – but how? If you’ve ever done any research on pay per click, you know that you can exceed your daily budget in a hurry.

Would you consider using a company that promises that your business will get first page Google placement within 7 business days or your money back? For a flat monthly fee? On top of that, your ad will be developed  by experts that know how to create ads that Google loves.  That’s where AdzZoo comes in. AdzZoo’s only focus is to get your business first page placement on Google – without you worrying about how many times someone clicks on your ad.

If all other mediums are declining in effectiveness (although you wouldn’t know it by the prices they charge), doesn’t it make sense to be found where your potential buyers are doing their search? No doubt you’ve worked long and hard hours to establish your business. Now it’s time to let people know you’re out there, ready to earn their trust and their patronage. With today’s business climate being ultra competitive, small business owners need every advantage available. Allow me to show you how utilizing AdzZoo’s services can give you an edge on your competition, at extremely reasonable fees. To schedule a free consultation, please send your queries to me at josephjgomez@gmail.com. I’ll reply within one business day.

Rory Sutherland: Life lessons from an ad man

Advertising adds value to a product by changing our perception, rather than the product itself. Rory Sutherland makes the daring assertion that a change in perceived value can be just as satisfying as what we consider “real” value — and his conclusion has interesting consequences for how we look at life.

This is inspiring finding ways and examples to use advertisement to promote GOOD in the world. Thinking about it…What are some ways we can use these lessons to make a difference? Use this as a place to post ideas and influence the world using the new media.

Significance of Online Printing Services

In Alabama, most of the online printing companies offer lot of options and discounts. When you want online printing services, you need to order a large number of prints because most printing companies prefer bigger quantities.

If you’re in need of hundred prints, it would be advisable to print it in your office or home, since printing companies may charger higher. If you’re doing big business, you may need large number of prints to distribute it to your customers like brochures and catalogs and posters.

If you want to increase sales, it is important to take help of printing services. To increase sales and income, you have to create promotional materials to create an edge. You can also create your own website to increase sales. Having your own website can bring in more customers and put you on the top.

Having an online website can make ordering and transactions easier and faster.

You also need to have online services like online inquiries, prices, specifications and services. Within a short period of time, sales will increase slowly and you will reach the highest place that you have never thought of reaching.

You should do something different to increase sales. Most of the successful companies always use innovative methods to promote their product. In this world of competition, you must not go out of style, instead, come up with creative ways and styles to make everything go perfect just like how you have planned it to be. You will find out that printing services is the best and ultimate option you can ever have.

Most of the printing websites have printing quotes. In Alabama there are various printing websites that offer printing quote service. Printing quote is an important thing in placing orders at the same time is essential to have a very good printing budget. One major advantage of this service is cost. When you have the printing quote through online, you can routinely undercut the price by more than half. The second factor is it is very convenient if you are going to have it online. You don’t have to go to a local printing company for quotes. You don’t have to visit various printing shops. By visiting online, you can know various printing quotes within a few minutes and directly e-mailed to your inbox.

Alabama online printing companies can provide you exact and accurate color printing quote or printing estimates with price breaks for large or bulk orders. Based on your specifications, online printing companies can work based on your design that you will coordinate to the images and texts that you want for your promotional products or items. Be careful with the quotes, because some online printing companies do not provide correct printing quote.

Creating Your Direct Mail Campaign Strategy

To many people dive into direct mail without a well thought out and organized strategy. It is critical to determine your objectives and establish the goals of your marketing campaign. A recent survey completed by the U.S. Postal Service found that the top three reasons for increased frequency of direct mailers were company growth or expansion, change of strategy, and introduction of a new product/service. Make sure you make your objectives clear and concise and set attainable goals.
These are some of the questions to ask yourself when determining your objectives:
 What is the most important thing I want people to know about my business and what do I want them to remember? What is my message?
 What is my offer? What are the benefits of my product, solution or services that your company offers in terms of what will appeal to the target audience?
 What is my competition doing? What are the strengths and weaknesses of my competition?
 What is the mailing size and budget of the mailing campaign?
 What factors will I use as measurements of success?
The ultimate goal of the mailing campaign is to move the prospect to the next stage of the sales cycle and motivate them to buy. Accordingly you will need to establish your specific goals as they relate to your objectives. Here are some examples of direct marketing goals and that mailers that will help you get there:
1. Boost Sales: When you want to attract new customers or broaden your product line or service offerings, you need to include a clear and enticing call to action. Giving customers an immediate taste of your offering usually works best. A tri-fold flyer detailing a free sample or offer is very effective; the flyer can be all text or have imported photos or illustrations. For an even more successful campaign, consider a promotional product included in an envelope with the flyer. There are many inexpensive options that will provide for excellent recognition and repeated exposure, along with the message of good will for sending a “gift”. Additionally, there are many choices that are appropriate for mailing without paying for additional postage. You might also offer time sensitive gift certificates or a card for a set of discounts, (for ex. 50% off lunch on Wednesdays), coupons for a onetime bonus, or tickets for a prize drawing if the customer makes a purchase. These ideas are applicable for business to business marketing as well.
2. Reward Customers: To retain and acknowledge the customers you already have, try sending “With Compliments” notes or offers. These should be as personal as possible, designed like a greeting card or personal stationery. Sending a simple, “Thank you for your business” card to a valued customer is both an inexpensive and effective way to develop loyalty. Here is another great opportunity make an impression with your customers when you go that “extra mile” and send a promotional product with your company logo and message as a “thank you” gift for previous, current and future business. Another valuable mail campaign idea is to launch a frequent buyer’s club. Along with registration and club membership material and information, you can send letters and cards that offer discounts or free products that rise is value the more the customer spends.
3. Generate Leads: Here, too, the format of your direct mail piece and offer depends on what you are selling. Instead of a call-to-action form, the purpose of this direct mail piece is to evoke a warm reception for the follow up call you’ll make within a short amount of time. Professionally designed and well written brochures, banners and posters, or invitations to special events or seminars will also help warm up a customer for a salesperson’s follow up call. If you can tuck in a promotional item like a tool or an accessory – something that relates to your business and that people will keep – all the better. Additionally, it will create awareness to your company name and logo which will provide for recognition of your business when you make the first personal contact with them.
4. Building Profile: When your campaign is designed around brand awareness – say, a grand opening, a start-up service, a new location – the direct mail piece must convey the news and communicate a clear brand message. For professional services, consider an informational press release or media kit that’s mailed to prospective clients and to the local newspaper and broadcast stations. You can also launch a newsletter with information for the customer. Just be aware that to build credibility this newsletter should provide a service. It should do more than simply sing your company praises. If you choose to create a newsletter, be sure you have the resources for future issues. Newsletters should go out at least quarterly, if not more often, in order to be memorable and effective. The “dimensional mailers”, that is a direct mail message with a promotional product that arrives in a tube or box or a direct mailer with some kind of flap or pop-up format (in other words, three dimensions) always get noticed. Even though this type of mailer tends to cost a little more, it is still a very cost effective method for the results produced. And don’t forget to try a combination booklet/brochure and newsletter, so you can combine your pitch with news of your industry or field.
If you have not started a direct mail campaign for financial reasons, it is time to re-evaluate your marketing strategy. You need to realize that with cost effective programs and customer databases, it’s much easier to produce pieces that generate a response than ever before. You don’t have to be a direct mail expert with a big budget to advertise with the mail. With a computer, some desktop publishing software, and a little know-how, you can create your own professional looking direct mail piece.
It is important to determine a budget for your direct mail campaign. The next article will cover some of the important aspects in determining the appropriate budget for your business and its marketing goals.

Split test your direct mail campaigns and jack up your response rates...

Direct mail split testing is the process of testing two or more versions of your letter to determine which one produces the greatest response. It’s a simple concept, but has HUGE benefits when done properly. Direct response marketers do this all the time by testing different elements of the campaigns to ultimately product the highest possible responses.

A response is measured in a few ways, but ultimately it’s a measurement of the effectiveness of the letters ability to get your recipient to complete the call to action. That call to action could be to have them call you, visit a website, send back another letter, or perhaps send you a check (nice!). The response rate is just a percentage of actions that were completed for your mailing. If you sent 100 letters and received 3 phone calls, then you would have gotten a 3% response rate. Pretty simple stuff, right?

Ok, so the direct mail industry average response rate is something ridiculously low like 0.5%… but that takes into consideration all the bulk junk mail that gets sent to us. I would venture to say that we investors “that target our lists properly” are more likely to get a 2% or better response rate. If not, then something is wrong. Either the list is not targeted enough, or the letter isn’t hitting the right cord to get the reader to take your requested action.

But what happens if you have a highly targeted list, and a not so hot letter? You might get a low response rate… right?

Rather than throw darts and hope for a bull’s-eye, why not send two or more versions of a letter to one list and increase your chances of success? Just take that list and divide it in half and send one version of your letter to one half of the list, and the other version of your letter to the other half of the list. It’s the same amount of work to stuff the envelopes, and it cost the same amount of money in postage… but the difference could mean BIG profits if you hit a winning combination.

You should always split test your letters. The one that gets the highest response will be what is called your “control”. And with every mailing you should try to beat that control, and if you do… the new letter becomes your new control that you are going to try and beat.

So what should you change between each version? There are many views on this, but I personally feel that it really depends on the size of this list you are mailing to and where you are in the testing process. If you are just starting out with your test, then I would try using two letters with a different call to action, or tone. For example I often test the difference between having the letter come from my wife, or from me. I’ve tested sending from me as an investor, as well as looking like it came from a non-investor.

Once you get something that seems to be working the best you can begin to fine tune it by changing more subtle things like the headline (if you are using one), or the opening paragraph. Perhaps the paper it’s printed on, the text font, or the envelope you send it in.

It’s so easy to do, so why not do it? But don’t forget to print a code or something on the bottom of the letters so you can ask the seller to read it back to you when they respond… how else would you know which version it was?

I know it seems like more work, but it REALLY makes a big difference when you narrow down on a letter campaign that responds well with a targeted list. It means the difference between doing one deal a year, and one a week… and often on the same exact marketing budget.

Talking Shop: Quickly Pulling Images from a PDF

I was faced with a small problem the other day when my client asked me to design some pages for his new catalog using the existing photography and working files. I could tell his understanding of production was pretty basic so I feared I would get files in Quark to work with or worse, nothing but a few sketches and a Word file.

Long story short, he had printer pdfs to give me, coupled with a pretty sharp deadline. As I have worked with a variety of files, I don’t remember ever having just pdfs to pull from. Sure I’ve seen designers import pdfs into In Design, but not complete pages designed by someone else. So, my goal was to export images from pdf form in order to have decent image files to place into In Design. I am guessing many of you know the solution to this, so forgive me if this is “old hat” and thus, a snoozer of an article. I considered it a nice discovery.

Acrobat Pro gave me my solution. Under [Advanced], third from the right menu option you can find [Document Processing] and then [Export all images]. You will note, it will more than likely ignore PS clips and give you the size the image that it was placed at, but it does give you a jpeg and png option, which can be helpful. Just make sure it’s a print quality pdf, or you’ll get “garbage in-garbage out.” Best of Luck.

Yahoo Kicks Keyword Meta Tag to the Curb

Don’t bother filling in the keyword meta tag on your website’s source code anymore. Yahoo’s senior director of search, Cris Pierry, said this week at the SMX east conference that the search engine stopped using it “a few months ago.”

Thanks a lot, Cris. Just two weeks ago, when I wrote about Google ignoring the keyword meta tag, I suggested that it wouldn’t hurt to keep some keywords in there since Yahoo still looked it. So much for that advice. Sorry, folks.

So, what does this news mean in the grand scheme of SEO?  Does this mean keywords aren’t important?

On the contrary! They’re the backbone of getting found online. The “key,” pardon the pun, is to make sure that your keywords and phrases are written in the copy you display to the world.

But don’t stuff them in there.  That’s probably the reason why the major search engines have stopped looking at the keyword meta tag. People crammed so many words in there to artificially boost their rankings that they forgot about creating relevant content online that people would want to read!

The bottom line is, create a web page that is relevant to your readers. Sprinkle two or three different keywords and phrases throughout each page. Make the copy compelling and interesting to read.

But don’t forget about meta tags altogether. As I said a couple of weeks ago, the title and description meta tag are still relevant to the search engines. So, put some of your best keywords in there. That will help get you noticed by Google, Yahoo and more importantly, your potential customers.

Estee Lauder Offers Free Makeovers and Social Media Beauty Shots

Written by Thilde Vesterby

The cosmetics brand Estee Lauder will soon be offering American women free makeovers and beauty shots to use as a profile picture on their social media profiles or websites. The photos include Estee Lauder’s logo in the background, so that the logo can be seen every time a woman puts her makeover photo on a social media profile – and Estee Lauder will even help you get the picture online, if you wish.

The promotion kicks off at Macy’s on October 9th and according to Estee Lauder the campaign is aimed at younger woman as well as older women who are beginning to embrace social media.

I can’t decide if I think the campaign is brilliant or silly. From a traditional marketeer’s point of view it’s a pretty good idea as it gets the logo (next to a beautifully makeovered woman) out on numerous profiles, but the campaign misses the possibility of dialogue between brand and user that the social networks offer. And if I was to get the makeover, the shot and the Estee Lauder goody bag(!) (and let’s face it – I probably would), I would most certainly photoshop the logo out of the photo if I decided to put it on Twitter or Facebook….

De: Erstes Institiut für Elektrofahrzeuge

Hannover.

Self service taking the next step

Minibars are the possible future for pubs/clubs out there, currently set up in Amsterdam the minibar outlet has 45 minibars with an assortment of liquor, beer, champagne, soft drinks and snacks that one can help themselves to after they have been assigned a personal fridge. The foreseeable problem here is that you may check in but checking out could be questionable….

Proactol

Proactol™ – how does it compare to other
natural fat binders?
Proactol™ may still be a relative new comer compared to other natural fat binders Chitosan and Absorbitol, but during this time it has established itself as a credible herbal supplement.
Having undergone 4 successful pre-clinical and clinical studies – during which Proactol™ was tested under a double blind study. Proactol™ has been proven to block 28% of consumer’s digestible fat, contributing to successful long term weight loss.
But alongside each of these trials, Proactol™’s standing amongst competing fat binders has grown further following the revelation of its numerous other natural health benefits.
Benefits that can prove to be pivotal deciders when choosing the right weight loss management plan for you:
Proactol™
Medically backed by the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC and leading health official across the globe, Proactol™ is clinically proven to:

• Bind 28% of your dietary fat intake
• Lower blood cholesterol levels and blood pressure
• Reduce your calorie consumption by 150 calories per meal
• Suppress your appetite whilst lowering food cravings
• Increase joint flexibility
• Appease aches and pains
And clinically proven to cause no negative side effects, consumers can continue to use Proactol™ to maintain their weight loss for a long as they need.
For more information on Proactol™ visit www.proactol.com
Chitosan

Clinically tried and tested, Chitosan has undergone 5 clinical trials since its release onto the market. From these trials Chitosan has been proven to:
• Contribute to weight loss results of 7.2 lbs in 28 days
• Inhibit LDL cholesterol and boost HDL cholesterol
The one flaw of this fat binder is that it has been linked to increased irregular bowel movements that results in the excretion of the bound fat molecules in a semi-raw state.
Absorbitol
Restricted in usage to 3-4 times a week, Absorbitol has been found to:
• Produce weight loss results of 16lbs in 30 days
• Bind 10.8g of fat with only 1g of Absorbitol
• Lower blood cholesterol levels
But consumers are advised to use this fat binder with caution to ensure that they still receive viable amounts of fat in their diet. For this reason it is recommended that consumer’s only take is 3-4 times a week and not every day.
Which fat binder can offer consumers more promising results?
Place each of these fat binders side by side and Proactol™ is by far the more reliable supplement, offering consumers a risk free route to weight loss that is consistent, long term and is free from the dangers of surgery.
Proof of Proactol™’s credibility amongst leading nutritionists, dieticians and Physicians can clearly be seen in its recent feature in well-renowned medical magazine Scottish Primary Care.
Featured as a supporting solution for those seeking to combat heart disease and smoking, Scottish Primary Care Magazine’s direct accreditations of Proactol™’s fat binding qualities, can offer consumers the reassurance they need to take the step to natural weight loss.
And considering its growing status in the medical field, Proactol™ is a weight loss supplement that we can readily recommend with confidence.

Mídias Sociais no Orkut - O Segredo

With Gratitude - by Deborah J Ledford

I’ve been thinking for days what I should present for this book launch blog promoting my debut thriller Staccato, and my thoughts kept returning to how grateful I am, not only to have this novel in print, but to all of those tireless and committed souls who made this book release a possibility.

Staccato is being featured on the Second Wind Publishing blog along with three other equally intriguing novels. I am thrilled to be in the company of Mickey Hoffman and Amy DeTremp for their first novels from Second Wind, and the very talented writer Christine Husom for her second book. I know they share my excitement in being members of this unique and cutting edge publishing company.

Because the entire Second Wind team is first-rate I shouldn’t play favorites, however Pat Bertram is as instrumental in seeing Staccato to fruition as anyone else involved in the process. Pat is not only a gifted novelist, she is a tireless promoter of Second Wind authors, often putting herself in the backseat when it comes to touting her own exquisitely crafted novels. I wish her the best with the upcoming release of Daughter Am I.

Lazarus Barnhill, novelist extraordinaire, is also an influential force in my decision to see Staccato through to publication. Laz, Pat and I made it to the semi-final round of the TruTV (formerly CourtTV) Crime Writer Contest sponsored by Gather.com in 2007. I am grateful that none of us actually won this contest because now we all reside in the same Second Wind Publishing home.

Second Wind executive assistants Tracy Beltran and Stacy Findley really pulled out the stops as well. From providing and submitting formatted proofs, configuring a killer back cover, to making sure my author and book pages on the Website were exactly as I wished. I could not be more happy with what you ladies have accomplished in order to make Staccato as professional and aesthetically pleasing as I could ever have envisioned.

My gratitude would not be complete without the heartfelt thanks to Second Wind publisher, Mike Simpson. Mike expressed confidence in Staccato when all others had turned their backs. This kind and generous gentleman is a dream maker who put me at ease so many times with his assurances that we would make the September 15th release date. Somehow he pulled off this monumental and sometimes daunting effort. Kudos to you, Mike, Staccato is every bit yours as it is mine.

For those of you who visit this exceptional blog often, I thank you as well. We all look forward to your comments and appreciate your support of Second Wind Publishing.

Deborah J Ledford is the author of the debut suspense thriller novel Staccato, now available from Second Wind Publishing, Amazon, Kindle and independent book stores.

How One Red Flag Can Destroy Communication

I recently received an email from an individual that was marked urgent. The subject line of this email was an individual’s name. Paired with the urgent email status, I assumed the worst. I panicked and opened the email immediately.

The email was extremely non-urgent, more of an ‘FYI’ type message. If it was still waiting unopened in my inbox a week or a month later, no one would have noticed. Life and work would have carried on the same as before. When I question the sender about the status of the message, they responded that they knew that I was extremely busy and that they wanted to make sure I read it.

This peer works in a hospital. Urgent in the hospital setting means code blue. Unless it directly relates to saving a life, I rarely see urgent when working with hospitals.

When sending email communication to volunteers, board members, or donors, remember that an urgent situation for us may not translate to urgent for them. Yes, do get info out in a timely manner. No, do not use the red urgent flag.

This person abused the way they communicated with me – you can bet that every email I receive from this sender will be last to be clicked open. Make sure that the status and subject lines of your emails are appropriate. Make the person on the other end know that you respect their time.
