Real Business - real People - how to work your own business

How an Affilate work as your own business

A customer contacted me the other day and who I suggested for an affilate program… I answered and gave him some other tips as well.

My main mission is to make sure that everyone real knows the truth of internet business and how it works…  please read below… these basic steps will help with any business on the internet – not just affilate programs.

My business is 201Art – I’m the official artist of arttwitt of twitter

Hi Phillip,

Thank you so much for contacting me. I hope I answer your question below:

I would recommend Go-daddy.com – but it is also important that “the affiliate company” is related to your website : What You are selling or the service you are providing.

*I’m sure you already know this if you have bought a book on affiliate marketing.

The biggest secret to any affiliate program is :

  1. Traffic - you must have  a great deal of  unique hits ( meaning real people – not spiders or robots)  on your website because of the averages – on an average only about 3% of the people that visit your website will actually buy something – when they hit the banner for that particular product – that is when you get from 5% to 15% of that product.
  2. Never rely on one affiliate product – because not everyone is interested in the same thing
  3. Careful with those websites that promise you “mass traffic” by using their own members – these members are being paid  by .0001 cent per click… Unfortunately what happens is that you receive these false traffic hits from members that are just looking to increase their “click rate”  – This is why I never buy google or whoever – “click rate” advertising ads. ( I learned the hard way)
  4. Have at least five separate websites that you own and sign up to as many free Blog as you possibly can. ( I have ten websites myself)

The Key Reason people are on the internet is : Find Information and Socialize  – so  you must provide as much information as you possible can – anything that you are good at and most importantly – YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO. This is what makes an entrepreneur
  5. Must be ready to spend at least four hours a day on your websites – because its important to keep them updated. Never “Mirror” your websites because google will band them. (Mirroring means to have a website that says basically the same thing)
  6. Never “hijack” with a software program because google will band your “ping” number from the internet ( hijacking is a form of spy-ware where you are using other companies websites that have a lot of traffic already – like corporate companies)

Golden Tip : write to the corporate companies themselves and ask if they would be interested in “linking your website” or give them some good useful information that they can use – in trade of linking your website.
  7. You can advertise – but only with big corporate companies – otherwise you are wasting your money.
  8. Always always get back to your customer ( even if they are not your customer) because one day that person may tell another person about your website.  ( I can’t stand when I ask a question on someones website and I receive no answer…that is just plain rude and not good for business)
  9. Build your reputation by building a ” A HONEST TRUTHFUL RELATIONSHIP“  and never ever cheat your customer – always tell them the truth no matter if you loose a sale because of it. (If they do not “trust you” – they will not buy from you – ever)
  10. So - TRUST - is the very most important part on the internet ( There are so many Grues out there that are plain “Monsters” that are waiting to steal your money.

Trust is so so important on the internet – you must let your customers know that “YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE”.  I have even invited customers to my home office to let them know that I’m a really person and I real do have a real product.

One of my customers came to see me from 200 km away – just to make sure I am who I said I am…does that make sense?

The internet has such a bad form of “identity theft” and therefore customers are becoming more aware and educated. Most people in a business will place a picture of themselves on the internet to let know who they are…but even that is failing because people have access to millions of pictures now – and Guros (Monsters) always never use their own picture.

An excellent affiliate company to work with is :http://cj.com  Most of the Corporate Companies on this affiliate website are the most trusted throughout the internet.

Always be positive and never be negative.

And last of course – a real company takes at least six months to one year before they are even recognized – THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS QUICK MONEY

If you get yourself on Oprah – (like Twitter has) then you are assured at least a million viewers…

I sure hope this helps with your quest of starting your company on the internet and I would appreciate it if you check out my website for any product that interest you.

If not , please pass along to your friends and family.

Once again, thank you very much for contacting me and “Yes” – I am a real person – Mr. Bari Demers – the official arttwitt of Twitter - please join me on Twitter too.

Any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me again… that is what I’m here for… My ART and helping others in the wide world of internet.

P.S. – ( I have asked Oprah to have the chance to be on her show…but I haven’t heard anything back as yet – I would love to let everyone know the REAL TRUTH OF BUSINESSES ON THE INTERNET - HOW TO MAKE IT FOR REAL…maybe one day I will get a call from Oprah )

)

Thank you,

Mr. Bari Demers

Bari?  Got your email from a review site.  I agree with you about just trying to get $500-$1,000 a month and slowly grow over the months.  I have just purchased an affiliate handbook and am about to go the blog route since I don’t want to do the ppc/clickbank route with all the expensive competition.  Do you have any products that you recommend?  Phil
